Enter your info to get your FREE report: 5 Simple Ways to Find Your Dream Job
Posted on September 29, 2023 under Resume
I hear your big concern about the cost of resume writing. However, investing in your career is well worth the money.
Let me put any concerns aside by sharing how the math computes: Say you have your resume Done For You in 7 days for $897 in October.
So in early November recruiters are putting you in front of hiring managers ASAP. You have interviews in November and December which lead to a job before Christmas or early 2023.
Conversely, you wait until early January to start.
Admittedly, you’re unable to get a draft independently complete, and done as a top-quality document that gets through ATSs and into the hands of HR.
You hesitate to finish your draft until February and you have doubts about its effectiveness as it enters the market. A February start likely translates to a spring market hire of March or April.
Assume you typically make $120,000/year (10,000/month) for easy calculations AND your cost of living is $10,000 per month too.
Hence, If you’re out of work 5 months from November through March that’s a cost of $100,000 (5x$20,000 per month).
If you invest under $1,000 to get your resume done and you get a job before Christmas then you save $59,000.
If you’d prefer to pocket your severance or savings and not rack up normal living expenses too, then we should talk. Book a Career Consult.
