Finally, this weekend was gorgeous in New York City and many of us flocked to the parks to witness Mother Nature make her grand entrance. I live near Madison Square Park (Flatiron Building) and it was positively in full bloom.

I love the revitalized hope and new possibilities Spring delivers us each year.

Spring tells us to snap out of it and expect different outcomes than we've ever experienced in the past. She asks us to up the ante.

Do you know the best part about the past?  It's that it's OVER!!  Yup, it's over and it's never coming back again. Hallelujah!!

You and only you, as the gardener of your life, get to decide if you'll allow the past to affect your present and future.

Your thoughts are seeds you plant in your mind. Over time the flowers sprout up in the real world because you nurtured them with attention.

Beautiful, positive, self-caring thoughts yield this:

Tired, angry, and negative thoughts that grow an endless loop of frustration, such as Bill Murray's character in the film Groundhog Day, sound like this:

  • I know that already
  • I've tried that a million times
  • I don't understand
  • That always happens
  • I don't know
  • That never works
  • I don't want to anymore

And guess what happens next? The negative thoughts create more of the same or a more creative version of the same thing just to keep you engaged.

Ready to stop the insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results is INCLUSIVE of thoughts, not just your actions.

What might your revised workplace and leadership thoughts look like?

  • My team is harmonious
  • Job interviews are 2-way
  • It's easy to win new clients
  • I appreciate my paycheck
  • My boss teaches me
  • I am creative at work

Decide today to own your thoughts.

Let me know your results!
