Why You're Job Searching for Too Long

When you've been job searching for too long, or you've been trying to find career direction for ages, it's likely a mindset issue.

Many times, within the mindset issue lives something that is under the mental health umbrella.

It could look like work or life-based trauma, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

In some cases, it can look like neurodivergence or executive functioning issues that are accompanied by mental health challenges.

In any case, it's wise to build a professional team to support you in your work journey.

The reality of career coaching is that it's equal parts mindset, mentality, and technique or tactics.

That's why many of my clients and I partner with therapists, mental health counselors, and other behavioral professionals to help you better understand your needs, wants and desires.

…and how to go get them.

More than half of my clients also have a therapist.

Especially in New York – having a good therapist is as essential as having a good handbag and pair of shoes.

Depending on the client, I might refer them to a trusted therapist that I think is a perfect match for them.

Or, I get phone calls from therapists. They have seen my work with their clients and continue to send them to me.

As a result, the client gets a great team.

They might meet with me for Career Coaching on Tuesday, then meet with their therapist on Thursday.

With the therapist, they debrief and unpack deeper levels, implications of decisions, and actions to take to obtain the career objectives they want.

This collaborative and empowering team ensures that they receive comprehensive support on both personal and professional levels.

Have you ever utilized a ‘career team' to unlock your full potential?
